Today was the last day in Big White for skiing so the adults and kids skied together for the day. There were some nervous kids as we took them up to the highest runs they had been on in their lessons to see how well they were going. All of them enjoyed the experience and by the end of the day adults and kids were well and truly drained. We took some happy family snaps on the top of the mountains to show the kids made it that far (and the adults too!). The lessons the kids have been having paid off well as we skied all day with them and they enjoyed every minute of it. We were quite impressed with their stamina.
Late in the afternoon, Phil's cousin Brendon and his wife Naomi came up from their home in Kelowna and Phil did some night skiing with them. This was the first REAL experience of night skiing. The night before with the kids close to the village was very tame in comparison to skiing full runs under just lights at top speed. Brendon and Naomi have been living in Canada for 2 years and snow board a lot and therefore Phil had to push himself hard to keep up. It was great to catch up with some family over here. We haven't seen them for many years and Laura was very happy to meet them for the first time. In fact she was so excited that even after a full days skiing with Mum and Dad she still found enough energy to do some village night skiing with Brendon and Naomi (bit of showing off involved with this I think).
