Last day of ski school for the kids so that means the last day for the parents to ski alone. We made it to the top of the Summit at Sun Peaks and made the most of the good weather. This is the first day the top of the mountain has been in sunshine so we could enjoy the view! See the photos below of the clouds in the valley. Magical view being above the clouds. Also the good weather meant we could see the harder runs and the more difficult terrain to ski.
In addition we headed over to the other mountain and went to the "Out of the Woods" run. Seemed appropriate to ski that one. Although if you look closely at the photo it seems Phil got STUCK in the woods. We will try and get Laura there tomorrow for a family photo with the sign.
The kids had their last lesson for the ski trip and have improved immensely with the additional time on the slopes. Here's hoping they remember some of the new techniques they have learnt next time we ski and they can keep building on their experiences. This is the first time they have skied more than 3 or 4 days in a row before and we have seen vast improvements given the opportunity.
Tonight Chris and Col had dinner together without the kids and Ady and Phil kid sat. They were trying to get to the Wine Festival Port, Chocolate and Cheese night, but unfortunately it was sold out, so they tried the local Mexican restaurant instead. The food was very nice. We have found the food just about everywhere we have gone to be very good in Canada, but sometimes the service can be hit and miss.
Tomorrow we are skiing with the kids for the last day at Sun Peaks. Our last day of skiing for the trip! A little disappointing this is the case, but we are all worn out. Apparently our bodies are struggling with 10 days of skiing! But we have given it our best and enjoyed every moment of it.
