Today was a no ski school day, so the kids let us know where they would like to ski!
The girls were itching to show us Ketchup & Mustard, which is not a listed run, so we were going blind as they lead the way! We missed the first time, so Phil asked one of their teachers for some directions and to see if this run really did exist! It did much to our amusement! So next run was Ketchup &Mustard, mmmm we weren't missing much, it was a shortcut thru the trees which was less than 2 metres wide, with lots of bumps, good if you are their height, but the adults were glad that was the one and only time thru that run!
The kids have improved a lot over the ski trip, especially Laura who has discovered some newfound confidence in her skiing. So much so that Phil, Ady and Laura got to ski their first Blue run together as a family today! A huge achievement for anyone who has tried skiing!
The afternoon saw the boys play Snow Golf, yes golf, but not as you know it. Phil mentioned if you have played golf before it was no advantage. You are given snowshoes, golf clubs, coloured balls (like what you find in a ball pit!) putting green, which they ditched as they found it harder, and a course map! The boys found the shoes didn't stop you sinking much, as you see in the photos. Note the photo of Blayne hitting out of a bunker! They had lots of laughs and found it very hard work!
Laura tried the trampoline and had a great time!
Adele made her very own snow woman at our front door!
The evening saw Phil and Ady joining in an event as part of the Okanagan Wine Festival by attending Taste of the Thompson (great name). The night was a mixture of regional chefs creating small sample plates, a dazzling array of wines from the region and Canadian cheeses! Mmmm Yummy!
